What brought you to Tascomi?

I first became aware of Tascomi through their involvement with the Software Testers Academy. From what I discovered, I thought it seemed like a great place to work. When the position was advertised I immediately applied and the more research I did into Tascomi – the more I wanted the job.

How do you feel Tascomi will help you in your career development?

I’ve only been here a short time and already I feel like Tascomi has the ability to teach me a lot. Ultimately, I am aiming to continue down the Software Testing route and hope to grow in my role as a tester with Tascomi.

What do like most about Tascomi?

The people – everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. There’s a really great atmosphere in the office.

What aspects of your role do you enjoy the most?

It’s quite an investigative role, you have to look for things that other people may miss; I enjoy that a lot. I also like the varied nature of the work – I’m not just doing the same thing everyday.

What have you gained from working at Tascomi?

I’ve only been here for a short time and already I feel like part of the team.

What advice would you give to a new Tascomi employee?

Just relax and be yourself (and bring cake).

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I’d like to still be with Tascomi. I enjoy my role as a Software tester and would ideally like to progress in that role.

If you could interview one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

Audrey Hepburn.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Steak and a baked potato with garlic butter.

What books are at your bedside?

I love anything by Stephen King.

What did you want to be when growing up?

This changed continually, once I was torn between a designer, a midwife and a solicitor and now I’m a software tester…

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

An island.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

I hate mess; I find I am constantly tidying things away (and always forgetting where I’ve put things).

What phobias do you have?

I’m terrified of birds, heights & water.

What is your favourite movie/book?

I love Misery & The Shining – fantastic books & movies.

Would you rather be a tiny elephant or a giant squirrel?

A tiny elephant.

Before I die, I would like to…

Travel more; I’d love to go to New Zealand, Iceland & Hawaii.
