What does a typical day in Tascomi look like for you?

Within my role as an IT Support Analyst, my job is to be a first point of contact for Tascomi customers and to help them in any way that I can. I deal with new queries every day and assign them as appropriate to a relevant member of the Tascomi team in order to satisfy the customer’s request. I get the luxury of interacting with customers on a daily basis and getting to know them individually. So a typical day for me at Tascomi would be talking to, getting to know and assisting the company’s customers to the highest standard possible!

What do you like most about Tascomi?

The thing I like most about working at Tascomi is the atmosphere in the office. Everyone here is so friendly and close with each other. There’s a good balance of fun and focus everyday. This has made it much easier to settle in and get to know everyone in the office.

What do you find most challenging at Tascomi?

Thankfully, I have yet to encounter anything too challenging at Tascomi, but if I had to pick something it would be making the 9am start on time!

What advice would you give to a new Tascomi employee?

Bring a cake on your first day. Easiest way to make friends! They love cake here!

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Without a doubt a full chicken from Nandos! Can’t beat it.

If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring?

A chair, beer and sun cream.

What is an ability you wish you had?

It would definitely be the ability to travel back and forward in time.

What is your favourite sport?

Rugby would be my favourite sport as I love the sense of aggression and discipline instilled in the game. It’s often very difficult to manage both of these, and playing rugby is the best way to master this!

What is your favourite movie/book?

Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit without a doubt.

Tell us a little about yourself/your family

Coming from Stewartstown in Tyrone,  I studied history and politics in Queens before doing a Masters conversion course in Professional Software Development at the University of Ulster Coleraine. I love sports, movies and technology, especially smartphones.

What brought you to Tascomi?

I attended a couple of University Careers Open Days and on one such day I met the Tascomi team. They were the only ones there that looked like they were speaking honestly about their company and not trying to sell it, because they didn’t have to! They all loved their jobs, so it was obvious for me to try my best to try to get into Tascomi from an early stage.

What is your role at Tascomi?

My role is Graduate Project Manager. I will be managing a portfolio of projects and developing and maintaining relationships with customers and assisting them with any queries they may have, ensuring the project is completed within time and budget.

What 3 words would you use to describe Tascomi?

Relaxed, enjoyable & challenging.

What are your hopes for Tascomi?

I hope to really do well in my position, to really connect with the customers we have and forge a really great and successful career here.

What advice would you give to a new Tascomi employee?

Be relaxed and be yourself, everyone is really friendly and time is taken to introduce you to everyone which is really good.

What did you want to be when growing up?

A professional footballer – thousands of pounds a week to play football? Yes please!
