Pembrokeshire County Council are among the first adopters of Tascomi Public Protection via the Welsh Purchasing Consortium Framework Agreement.
In a collaborative working project alongside other early adopter Councils, Pembrokeshire will be implementing Tascomi Public Protection. The project, ‘Public Protection Cymru’, has the backing of the Welsh Government, with the Minister for Public Services, Leighton Andrews AM commenting, “Adopting the new Public Protection cloud-based software system will help enable a number of very important deliverables for the local authorities involved. It will provide cashable savings, achieve efficiencies and consistency in service delivery, as well as supporting resilience and mobile working options”.
Tascomi’s Public Protection solution is an innovative web-based software that has been designed in conjunction with Local Authorities to meet the changing needs of Trading Standards, Environmental Health, Licensing, Private Sector Housing and Housing Grants. Built from the ground up using open source technology, Tascomi Public Protection can be accessed on any Mobile Device with a current mainstream browser, and is therefore digital by default and mobile by nature.
Mark Elliott, Head of Public Protection at Pembrokeshire Council commented on the implementation, “Digital transformation is paramount to providing efficiencies, resilience and better services. Tascomi is an innovative solution and will help us achieve this.”
