This week has seen us attend the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Annual Conference at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. This was an excellent event in a fantastic venue which attracted around 200 delegates and ran over 3 days.

Our fully web based Building Control solution, generated a lot of interest amongst delegates.  It is currently used by 22 of the 26 local authorities in Northern Ireland and was implemented at South Thames Gateway Building Control at the end of 2013, supporting the Building Control function for 3 local authorities. The soon to merge North and South Tipperary County Councils in the Republic of Ireland are confident that implementation of the system will make their imminent transition into one authority an easier task.

The key themes of discussion between the Tascomi team and delegates were ‘shared’ and ‘mobile’ working initiatives, which many local authorities are exploring in order to obtain cost savings, provide flexibility for users to work from anywhere and deliver more efficient methods of working.

With a Fully Managed Service based on open source technology, Te-Build already delivers our customers significant savings and flexibility.  Instant support for home, shared and mobile working are as standard and can be accessed from a range of devices including tablets/iPads from any location.
