David Edwards, Tascomi Non-Executive Director, has been presented with a leading environmental health award having been recognised for his positive contributions to improving health and wellbeing.
Organised by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), the leading professional membership body for environmental health professionals, the CIEH Awards took place in Westminster and David Edwards was presented with the prestigious Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 at a distinguished ceremony held at the House of Lords.

David Edwards has worked in Environmental Health for over 30 years and as a Non-Executive Director at Tascomi he brings with him an in depth knowledge of business development and innovation, along with Food Safety Systems, having been a founding Director of CMi PLC, a UK brand leader, employing more that 200 environmental health professionals – now part of NSF International.
The CIEH Awards are an annual ceremony which recognise and celebrate organisations and individuals who have made a positive contribution to improving business performance or improving people’s health and wellbeing.
The awards recognised those who work within the field of environmental health across the public and private sectors and the judging panel included CIEH Chief Executive, Anne Godfrey, CIEH President, Tim Everett, Ellie Greenwood, of the Local Government Association, and Peter Mather, a Regional Safety Business Partner for Sainsbury’s.
CIEH Chief Executive, Anne Godfrey, said: “Environmental health professionals are often unseen and unheard, despite doing some of the most important jobs which fundamentally help businesses to grow and improve people’s health and wellbeing.
