Victoria joined us in June 2015 as our first Marketing Placement Student. Receiving this award is a fantastic reflection of the superb attitude that she brought every day, allowing for her to thrive in a position of responsibility. An unrivaled enthusiasm and energy in the workplace meant Victoria brought new ideas and a relentless work ethic. This shaped the direction that marketing activities within Tascomi took over the course of the year.

Victoria’s placement in Tascomi had many difference aspects and responsibilities. One of the main responsibilities was providing the content for the Tascomi Social Media platforms. Victoria increased Tascomi’s social media audience across all platforms by 709% during her placement year. This was achieved by the creation of fantastic content and a strategic and focused marketing campaign.

Victoria on her year in Tascomi:

“I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to gain practical experience within the industry. Tascomi has given me a glimpse into a rapidly growing, high-paced professional environment. Regardless of how much you think you have learned from your studies, the information and skills you can acquire from a placement year are invaluable. My time at Tascomi has allowed me to gain and develop skills such as teamwork, interpersonal skills, computer proficiency and the ability to deal with responsibilities and challenges.

Exploring is a very important aspect of the academic process and gaining placement has been a great way to explore what is involved within a marketing role; what I am good at and what I am not so good at. I feel I have gained so many invaluable skills and feel significantly more confident at applying what I have learned at University to my future career.”

On behalf of Tascomi, we would like to congratulate Victoria for receiving this fantastic award. We wish her the very best of luck for her final year at Ulster University and we look forward to having her back after graduation.
